Melanie is a Greek-American native New Yorker who balances a career in Finance with her desire to give back to the world through coaching, motivational speaking and raising awareness. With over 18 years of experience in the highly competitive banking and hedge fund industries as a trader, analyst and portfolio manager, she turns to yoga & meditation to find her inner peace.
After working with a life coach in 2012, Melanie began living her life from a new empowered and positive perspective. She became an avid student of Positive Psychology and New Thought, reading every book she could get her hands on. Melanie found her inspiration in books by Neville Goddard, Wayne Dyer, and Deepak Chopra, to name a few.
Melanie spends as much time in Greece as her schedule permits, specifically on her beloved island of Rhodes. Having witnessed first hand the negative, low energy mindset that was crippling the Greek people as a result of the financial crisis, she felt compelled to take action.
In 2015 she launched a Facebook page entitled “Καθημερινή Ευγνωμοσύνη” (Daily Gratitude) in order to inspire the Greek people to choose a happier way of living, by raising their vibration with positive thoughts and empowering beliefs. The page has received wonderful feedback as her following rapidly expands.
In September of 2016, Melanie gave her first TEDx talk in Rhodes, Greece. The topic was: The Power of Gratitude: Why It’s So Important to Greece Right Now. In her talk, she references ancient Greek philosophers such as Aristotle and Plutarch, in order to demonstrate to the Greek people that these ideas are rooted in their own culture. The positive reaction from the audience has propelled Melanie to continue to move her mission forward. She’s currently working on a book, an e-course, and an upcoming workshop in Athens, Greece.
Melanie truly practices what she preaches. She is extremely grateful for her successful career on Wall Street and all the beautiful people she has met in the business over the years. As such, she aims to dispel the negative connotation associated with Wall Street by bringing light to all the acts of generosity and kind people that exist in this community.
In a very synchronistic moment, Melanie connected with Link Media in October 2016. She is thrilled to be a new contributor to its mission.
